Carl Goebel (1824 Vienna - 1899 Vienna) was a very well-known Austrian watercolour and graphic artist. His first teachers were the famous romantical artists J.A. Klein and J.C.Ehrhard. Later he studied also at the Vienna Academy. He was a very popular portrait and genre painter who travelled through Europe and worked at various European courts. Works by him belong to collections of various museums.
