Well-known portrait miniaturist Eduard de Ron was born in 1811 in Stockholm and died 1858 in Amberg in Bavaria, Germany. After studying art in Paris he worked as a miniaturist from 1838 in Munich and was appointed miniature painter to the court of Bavaria in 1843. Around the year 1850 he became an official of the arms factory of Amberg. Eduard de Ron excelled mainly in portraits with watercolour. His works can be seen in museums of Stockholm, Munich, etc.
