Letter "W" (for King Willem I of Netherlands) on husband's shoulder belt and the place of acquisition of both pieces - the Dutch town of Goes (120 km from Amsterdam) - let us affirm that we are dealing with portraits of a (just newlywed?) Netherlandish hussar and his wife (latter's hairstyle allows to estimate period as that about 1820).
Condition: fairly good; each in original golden frame; back glass of female portrait lost
