Miss Charlotte Jones was born in 1768, as daughter of Thomas Jones of Cley, Norfolk. She studied under Cosway and worked thereafter in London, Manchester and Bath. She exhibited between 1801-1823 at the London Royal Academy. In ca. 1808 she became miniature painter to H.R.H. Princess Charlotte of Wales. Later she became partially blind and died in 1847, in London. Works of her are in Windsor Castle and some museums in the UK.
