It is an extremely rare work of Russian graphic artist Nikolai Stepanovich Wolkoff (1811-1869).
Signed and dated "1833 /Napoli" it was executed by 23-year-old artist during his Italian stay in the early 1830s. Obviously he took lessons with great Russian painter Karl Pavlovich Brullov who was living in that country (until 1835). Back to St. Petersburg he continued his study under Brullov.
Works of his belong to collection of Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
