Jean-Francois Boudoux (also Boudou) was possibly a member of the Parisian family which provided three members of the Academie de Saint Luc. He is known from exhibition records or press advertisiments at Toulouse (1770, 1772, 1787-1790) and Bordeaux (1784-1786). The 1772 livret mentions that he was a pupil of Toulouse portraitist Barthelemy Rivalz.
