Jerome Langlois was born (according to Nathalie Lemoine-Bouchard) in ca. 1753 in Paris and died in the same city in 1804. In 1779 he entered the school of the Academie Royale, where he was a pupil of Doyen and Vien. He worked as a miniaturist in Paris, where he lived at 23, rue de l'Arcade and where he exhibited at the Salons of 1793, 1798, 1802 and 1804.
