French miniaturist Claude Charles Noisot was born in 1787 in Auxonne, department Côte-d’Or and died in 1861 in Fixin, Côte-d’Or. Until today there was very scarce information about him. Published in March 2020, in 52th issue of Mme N. Lemoine-Bouchard's "La Lettre de la Miniature" article by Benoît Lorenzini (see our additional images) provides extensive biography of this distinguished Napoleonic officer and (after retreat from army) pupil of Maison.
