Guglielmo Faija (1803 Palermo - 1873 London) was a student of Comte in Naples and of F. Millet in Paris, where he exhibited at the Salon from 1831 to 1837. He painted miniatures on ivory, as well as portraits in watercolors and enamels. In 1837 or 1838 he settled in London, where he worked for the Royal Family and exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1838 to 1848. Schidlof writes "Faija was a good miniaturist whose style resembles greatly that of William Charles Ross. Several of his works are in the Windsor Castle.
