This pastel portrait of very good quality of a smiling young female artist (she is dressed and hairstyled according to the fashion of the mid-1780s) was executed by a 1st-class French artist, working in the manner of famous Mme Adelaide Labille-Guiard (1749-1803; CLICK HERE). This, still anonymous artist could even be one of the latter's pupils.
