Carl Friedrich Christian Roth (1766 - 1854 Vienna) studied from 1780 to 1786 at the "Hohe Karlschule" in Stuttgart. According to Thieme-Becker, he became later a pupil of the famous Viennese miniaturist Moritz Michael Daffinger and lived in Vienna ever since.
Condition: good; in magnificent, handcarved and gilded frame in Florentine style
