Wendelin Moosbrugger (1760 Rehmen by Au (Austrian province Vorarlberg) - 1849 Aarau, Switzerland) began his study as a pupil at the Academy of Mannheim, then worked as a portrait painter in oils and as a miniaturist from 1794 in Constance, later in Karlsruhe, Vienna, Stuttgart, Rastatt and in Switzerland.
