Antoine-Paul Vincent was born in Paris. In 1800, according to Nathalie Lemoine-Bouchard, he lived in 63, rue du Fabourg - Monmartre; in 1802 - in 27, rue Neuve-Saint-Augustin and, in 1806 - in 3, rue Neuve-Grange-Bateliére. He exhibited his miniatures between 1800-1812 at the Salon de Paris. Schidlof writes about him: "he was an artist of quality, who is still not appreciated sufficiently, because one only finds his works rarely... Some of them are reminiscent of the works of the first period of Isabey and not inferior (!) to them...".
