Friedrich Lieder the Younger (1807, Vienna - 1884, ibidem) was a pupil of his father the famous Austrian portraitist Friedrich Johann Gottlieb (1780-1859), having also been much influenced by the works of another Viennese painter, Josef Krienhuber. The younger Lieder was known for his watercolor portraits of the members of the Austrian high aristocracy and political elite.
