Jozsef Kliegl (1795 Baia - 1870 Pest) was a well-known Hungarian portrait miniaturist and inventor. After graduating from the University of Pest, he attended (from 1822) the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. Several years later, he returned to Pest (now - Budapest), where he devoted majority of his time to work on multiple mechanical inventions.
