Ferry Beraton (1860 Vienna - 1900 Venice) was a very well-known Austrian genre painter and sculptor. He studied at the Vienna Academy, at the studios of Hans Canon in Vienna and by Ludwig Passini in Venice. At last he studied under Carolus Duran and Leon Bonnat in Paris. After seven years in Paris he moved back to Vienna in 1885, where he was known, not only as artist but also as poet, art critic and playwright.
Condition: In fairly good condition. Measurements with mount: 35 by 27.4 cm / 13.8 by 10.8 in.
