According to Schidlof, the author of this miniature, Austrian artist Anton Weissenfeld, died probably 1832 in Graz. Josef Wastler in his "Steirisches Künstler-Lexicon", Graz 1883, suggests that the artists died in Graz after (!) 1832.

Condition: fairly good; tiny (hair-like) vertical crack (ca. 1in long) running across the sitter's shoulder; in original easel-frame made of gilt silver
