Offered here is a good quality miniature set into original easel-frame made of silver. It was probably executed by well-known Vienna miniaturist of the 1st half of the 19th century, Anton Weissenfeld (for comparison see our web # 41139).

According to Schidlof, the author of this miniature, Austrian artist Anton Weissenfeld, died probably 1832 in Graz. Josef Wastler in his "Steirisches Künstler-Lexicon", Graz 1883, suggests that the artists died in Graz after (!) 1832.
Moreover, our web # 27277 proves that he still worked in 1836...

Some works of Weissenfeld are on view in the Museum Joanneum, Graz, as well as in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
