Jean François Victor Dupont (1785 Geneva - 1863) was a porcelain painter and enamellist. Sometimes he is known to have painted on ivory. The Genevan Society of Arts owns several works by Dupont; among them - a self-portrait of the artist. Additionally, the Museum of Geneva houses Dupont's portraits on enamel of George IV of England, Peter the Great (dated 1830) and a group children portrait: all of them displaying the best quality of execution.
Our image nr.10 shows another miniature of this artist that was offered in 2008 at Christie's London.
