Oskar Stoessel (1879 Neunkirchen-1964 Vienna) was a well-known Austrian etcher and painter of the early 20th century. He studied painting under Constantin Damianos and Franz Kallmorgen and etching under Ferdinand Schmutzer. He escaped the Nazi regime in 1938 emigrating to the USA where he lived and worked until the 1950's. His works can be seen in various Austrian museums.
