Jean-Baptiste Soyer (1752 Reims - 1828 Saint-Nicolas-du-Port) moved, attracted by the court of Stanislas Leczinski, already as a younger artist to Nancy, where he married in 1790. Around 1800 he finds himself in Basel, later in Paris, where he exhibited between 1801 and 1810 in the Salon.
