This small (only 9.5cm in diameter) bronze bas-relief of Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II (CLICK HERE) seems to be a work of well-known Belgian (modern Belgium was then province Astrian Netherlands) sculptor of 2nd half of 18th century, Jacques-Francois-Joseph Lefebvre, called Lefebvre-Caters (see our comparison images nr.3-4).

Jacques-Francois-Joseph Lefebvre-Caters (1744 Tournai - 1810 ibidem) was a member of well-known Tournai family of goldsmiths, son of Piaf Francois Lefebvre ("Piaf the Younger"). In 1770 he founded a porcellain manufactory in Tournai and in 1771 succeeded H.J. Duvivier as Director of the local Academy of Fine Art. He was active as a sculptor, goldsmith and possessed a factory producing bronze sulptures and reliefs.
