Comparison with other works of this artist in our possession let us to suppose it is a work of well-known, turn of 19th century South German miniaturist Wendelin Moosbrugger.
The depicted person is Antonetta Rahel, Freifrau (Baroness) Firnhaber von Eberstein (geb.1772), who in 1795 married widower, Johann Heinrich Jordans, "geheimer Legationsrat" (privy councillor in Foreign Office) in principality Hessen-Kassel. The husband died in 1803.

This miniature was acquired at the inventory sale of Castle Schmitte (residence of family Firnhaber-Eberstein) in Biebertal-Rodheim, province Hessen, Germany; see our image nr.8) carried out by the auction house "P. Rothenbuecher", Bayreuth, Sale on 14 November 2009, lot 145.

Wendelin Moosbrugger (1760 Rehmen by Au (Austrian province Vorarlberg) - 1849 Aarau, Switzerland) began his study as a pupil at the Academy of Mannheim, then worked as a portrait painter in oils and as a miniaturist from 1794 in Constance, later in Karlsruhe, Vienna, Stuttgart, Rastatt and in Sweitzerland.
