George Freeman (1789 Spring Hill, Connecticut, USA - 1868 Hartford/Connecticut) was a son of a farmer. In 1813 he came to Europe to study in Paris and then in London, where he stayed until 1837. In 1841 he was again in England, active in Bath and Manchester. In 1816 he is mentioned as working in Montreal.
