Dominique Paillot (1775 Dijon - 1814 Besançon) was a pupil of François Devosge at the Ecole de peinture in Dijon, where in 1789 he received the 1st prize. He chiefly worked as a portraitist in pastel and miniature. From 1807 and until his death (1814) Paillot was a drawing teacher in Besançon.
