As our additional images with comparisons show this small oil on canvas painting is with a very great possibility an original work of well-known German genre artist of 2nd half of 198th century, Heinrich Breling.
Heinrich Breling (1849 Burgdorf/Hanover - 1914 Fischerhude) studied at the Hanover Technikum from 1863 to 1869, and from 1872 at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts under Wilhelm Dilz. In 1870/71 he participated in the Franco-Prussian War. Then, in 1883 he became professor of the Munich Academy and was appointed court artist in 1884. Later he came back to Hanover and lived in Fischerhude from 1908.
